Smile Condoms wanted to remind people how useful condoms are in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), an ever-present invisible threat.

We organized a party at a popular Windhoek nightclub. Several people wearing fluorescent make-up mixed in with the crowd. When the lights went out, ghoulish faces suddenly appeared. A message on a video screen spoke of the hidden threat of infections and the need to always wear a condom.

460 partygoers witnessed the stunt, which was amplified spontaneously via social media. The execution of the concept took people completely by surprise – much like STIs.
